June L. Hamlett, 93, of Janesville died Tuesday, August, 9, 2011 at Cedar Crest Health Center. June was born in Gleason, WI on July 18, 1918, the daughter of Nobel and Myrtle (Vickery) Nichols. She graduated from Merrill, WI High School. In November of 1937, June married Charles Hamlett. They moved to Janesville in 1947. She was a homemaker and was employed for a time in the 1950’s and 1960’s by Gibbs Manufacturing Company.
Surviving are two children, Richard (Karen) Hamlett of Janesville, Karen (Thomas ) Kleinhenz of Libertyville, IL, five grandchildren, Dawn (William) West, Steve (Connie) Tatge both of Janesville, Bethanie (Greg) Mutter of Naples, FL, Kim (Mark) Summerfeldt of Janesville, Kelly (Brett) Lipetri of Hull, IA, eight great-grandchildren, Katherine, Christina, Stephanie, Storm, Travis, Joshua, Jessica, Lilli and a great-great-granddaughter, Autumn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hamlett in May of 1976.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with Rev. Gary S. Shields Sr. officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson,com.
